Step by Step Instructions on How to Place Your Horse Property Ad

For Best Results...
If you have had any problems, log out, shut down your browser, then reopen and log in again.


1.   Register - be sure to fill out all the required (*) fields or your registration will not be accepted.  If you can not get past this page, then  you have not filled out a required field.

2.  Once registered, you will automatically be logged in.

3.  If you are already registered, then just LOG IN

4.  Once Logged In, click on PLACE AN AD on the top tool bar.

5.  Select a geographical area for your listing by clicking on it.

6.  Fill in your ad details. 
Select the amount of time you want your listing to run, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, or 1 year.  If you wish to view pricing information, click on PRICING INFORMATION.  Hit BACK on your browser to then return to your ad submission page. 
Ad a title to your listing.
Enter the price of your equestrian property.
Enter your email address, phone number, etc., in the forms provided.
You do not need to put your email address in the text.  Your address will automatically be provided in the SELLER link.  When finished entering information on this page CLICK on "CLICK HERE TO SAVE AND ENTER AD DETAILS" .  Since monitors come in all sizes, make sure you scroll to the bottom of all pages to not miss any important components.

You will then be taken to the IMAGE COLLECTION PAGE.  IMAGES ARE BEST ADDED AT THE TIME YOU PLACE YOUR AD.   When finished adding your photos, be sure to click on "CLICK HERE to ENTER and SAVE...."

7.  Important:  Be sure to Click on "SAVE and ENTER AD DETAILS " at the bottom of the page to save your information and continue.  If you do not save each page, your information will be discarded and your listing will not appear in our horse properties.

8.  Upload your images either from your computer or from a web site.  Follow instructions on page.  You can add a caption to your image, if you like.  If no images, click on TEXT ONLY.  If you are having a problem adding your images, then the photo file is probably too large.  Maximum image size is 300000 bytes (300KB).  (You can view your image size by going to START MENU/Programs/Accessories/Windows Explorer, select views, click on details).  If over 300KB, Reduce your file size before continuing.  Change the dpi to 72... 600 dpi files are very large and can not be loaded to our site.

We strongly recommend adding at least one image to your listing. 
Ads with photos definitely will receive more traffic and viewers!

How to REDUCE your IMAGE SIZE

CHECK YOUR PHOTO FILE SIZE before uploading.  Use Windows Explorer, select View / Details.
Files larger than 300 KB will NOT BE ACCEPTED.

The easiest way to resize your photos is by going to:  http://www.resize2mail.com/  .  The service is FREE.
or try one of these other photo resizing sites:
PIXresizer,  JpegCruncher,  JpegSizer,  Online Image Resize, Spinwave,   WinSoft Magic and many more free to try programs
These sites will only reduce your image size not the FILE SIZE, but that may help.  Photos taken with digital cameras are many times very large, with dpi of 300+ which makes for extremely large files.

Many new computers come with ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS.
Click on File / Open / Your File Name
Click on Image / Resize / Image Size
In this box you can view the file size at the top- Example: Pixel Dimensions: 24.4M
Under "Document Size" , change the width and height of the photo to 6x4 or 4x6.
Change the "Resolution" to 72.
File size should not exceed 300KB to be accepted for upload.
Save As (it is best to not overwrite your original file).

9.  Review and Approve your listing.  CLICK on APPROVE AD   to continue or click on EDIT text, category or images to make changes to your listing.  Again, be sure to SAVE each change you make.

10.  Proceed with PayPal checkout.  If you have never used PayPal before, it can be confusing.  Be sure to read the directions carefully on the PayPal site.  If you are having problems with PayPal, you can contact them directly at 888.221.1161.

11.  Once your PayPal payment has been made, your listing is instantly added to our horse property real estate classifieds.  You will receive an email stating that your equestrian property ad has become live.  View you listing on line to make sure it reads the way you want.  If you wish to make changes, go to MY ACCOUNT, then ACTIVE ADS, click on the paper and eraser symbol to make changes and edit your listing.

12.  Send a TEST EMAIL to YOURSELF from your listing to make sure all is in order. 

13.  All new featured listings automatically appear on the entry page to 1HORSEPROPERTY on a rotational basis.  If you bought a featured ad and do not see it on this page, reload/refresh your browser until you do.  You can also find your listing by clicking on the state in which your equestrian property is located.

How to EDIT an AD once it has already appeared in our classifieds:
Editing is easy...
Just log in with your USERNAME and PASSWORD.
Click on ACTIVE ADS on the top bar.
Click on the PAPER & PENCIL icon of the ad you want to edit.
Your ad will display.  Click on the part you want to edit at the bottom of the page (details, images, category).
Make changes. 
Be sure to SAVE.
View your changes.

How to ADD IMAGES and EXTRA FEATURES After You Have Already Paid For Your Ad
You can upgrade  your account at any time.
First, make payment for desired extras. See Pricing for rates and extras.
Email us your USER NAME, CITY/STATE of your listing and description of extra features you want added (example, 2 photos, make bold). ==Do NOT send us your photos, unless you want us to resize them for you (extra charge)==.
Allow 24/48 hours for us to manually configure your account to accept paid for photos or features.   Then Log back in to upload your own photos.  We will activate all other features (bolding, attention getters), but we will not upload your photos for you. 

Our horse property real estate classifieds are totally automated.  You have 24/7 access to your listing. You can change text and photos at anytime during the duration of your equestrian real estate ad.  Your listing can be marked SOLD or removed from our horse property listings at any time.  Always be sure to SAVE your changes and log out.   If  you are still having problems placing your ad, ask a computer savvy friend to assist you.

We will notify you before your horse property ad expires and you will have the opportunity to renew it, if you wish.
